Wendy Walker, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Wendy J. Walker, our Chief of Staff, is a native of Connecticut, a 1979 Phi Zeta graduate veterinarian of Michigan State University, holding an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology. She has worked at Town & Country, a busy small animal practice, since graduating from veterinary school. The clinic previously was a mixed-animal practice, where Dr. Walker practiced equine medicine for twelve years. Breeding and training thoroughbred horses has always been a hobby and passion for her.
She is an active member of the Goshen Hounds, Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, and American Veterinary Medical Association. In 1990, Dr. Walker was awarded “Business Person of the Year” by the Olney Chamber of Commerce, and in 1995, she was recognized as “Citizen of the Year” by the Greater Olney Civic Association.
Sara Moran, VMD
Dr. Sara A. Moran is a native from Vermont. She is a 1981 summa cum laude, Phi Beta, and Phi Zeta Veterinarian graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with an undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in biology. Dr. Moran completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Ontario Canada before working for three years in a veterinarian office in Massachusetts.
In 1987 Dr. Moran moved to Maryland and began working at Town & Country Animal Clinic with Dr. Harold Holbrook, practicing small animal medicine. In 1990, Dr. Moran became co-owner of the veterinary office with Dr. Walker and continues to practice as a small animal veterinarian.
Maleana Spera, DVM
Dr. Maleana Spera grew up in Colchester, CT and currently resides in Woobine, MD. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, earned a DVM degree from Ross University and did her clinical year at Texas A&M. Prior to joining the Town and Country Animal Clinic team, Dr. Spera practiced in McMurray, PA. In addition to preventive care, she is interested in internal medicine, geriatric care, and behavior.
Dr. Spera has two dogs, Webster and Walden, two cats, Gryffindor and Spider, and one horse, Justice. In her free time, Dr. Spera enjoys running, cycling, swimming, hiking, and kayaking.
